Camilla Belle (born October 2, 1986) is an American actress. Her works include The Ballad of Jack and Rose, When a Stranger Calls, 10,000 BC, The Quiet, Push, and Breakaway.



Early life: Belle was born as Camilla Belle Routh in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Cristina Gould, is a Brazilian-born fashion designer and her father, Jack Wesley Routh, owns a construction company and was a composer of country music. Belle was raised in a Catholic household. She attended St. Paul's Catholic Elementary School and then the Marlborough School, an all-girl high school in Los Angeles.



Career: She made her professional debut in a print ad at nine months. At age five she was cast as a lead in her first film, NBC's thriller, Trapped Beneath the Earth.[3] Belle began her career with a small role in the film production of the novel A Little Princess starring Liesel Matthews. Her first lead role was in Rip Girls in 2000, a Disney Channel original movie. She returned to performing after a short break with the lead role in the remake of When A Stranger Calls. Her next role was in the feature film 10,000 BC, directed by Roland Emmerich, a film about prehistoric humans. Belle's next big release was playing the role of Kira Hollis in Push, a sci-fi thriller involving a group of super-powered youths, hiding from a clandestine U.S. government agency.

In 1998, she played Aubrey Shepard on the Focus on the Family radio drama Adventures in Odyssey.

Following a turn as Steven Seagal's daughter in The Patriot (1998), she earned a 1999 Youth in Film Young Artist Award nomination for her portrayal of Sandra Bullock's character as a girl in Practical Magic (1998), as well as another nomination the same year for her guest appearance on the TV series Walker: Texas Ranger. She received her third and fourth Young Artist Award nominations respectively for the telefilm Replacing Dad (1999) and for her role in the Disney Channel TV Movie Rip Girls (2000). In 2010, she appeared in Breakaway with Vinay Virmani directed by Robert Lieberman.

Charlize Theron born 7 August 1975) is a South African and American actress and fashion model. She rose to fame in the late 1990s following roles in the films The Devil's Advocate (1997), Mighty Joe Young (1998), and The Cider House Rules (1999). Theron received critical acclaim for her portrayal of serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster (2003), for which she won the Silver Bear, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Academy Award all for Best Actress, among several other accolades, becoming the first South African to win an Academy Award in a major acting category. In recent years, she has moved into the field of producing, both in television and film.





She received further Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations for her performance in North Country in 2005, and a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance in Young Adult in 2011. Early life Theron was born in Benoni, in the then-Transvaal Province of South Africa, the only child of Gerda (née Maritz) and Charles Theron (born 27 November 1947). Second Boer War figure Danie Theron was her great-great-uncle.[6] Her ancestry includes French, German, and Dutch; her French forebears were early Huguenot settlers in South Africa.[6] "Theron" is an Occitan surname (originally spelled Théron) pronounced in Afrikaans as [tɜːron], although she has said that the way she pronounces it in South Africa is [θron]. She changed the pronunciation when she moved to the U.S. to give it a more "American" sound.

She grew up on her parents' farm in Benoni, near Johannesburg. Her father was lawfully killed by her mother with a firearm on 21 June 1991. Theron's father, an alcoholic, physically attacked her mother and threatened both her mother and her while drunk. The shooting was legally adjudged to have been self-defense and her mother faced no charges.

Theron attended Putfontein Primary School (Laerskool Putfontein), a period she later characterised as not "fitting in". At 13, Theron was sent to boarding school and began her studies at the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg. Although Theron is fluent in English, her first language is Afrikaans.
